Valerie Chicola is a Vice President in BSG’s Communications Practice. She advises clients – ranging from corporations to advocacy groups – on comprehensive communications strategies, including message development, media relations, and crisis communications. Valerie helps clients navigate complex media environments to shape public narratives, manage reputational risks, and secure impactful media coverage.
Prior to joining BSG, Valerie was a Director at Targeted Victory, a Washington, D.C.-based digital agency, where she led communications strategy for high-profile projects, including a national book tour, and provided clients with campaign-style communications support.
Valerie brings several years of experience from Capitol Hill and political committees.She served as Broadcast Communications Advisor to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and as Deputy Director of Media Affairs at the Republican National Committee, where she managed surrogate operations, coordinated broadcast bookings, and supported the White House during major confirmation hearings. During the 2016 election cycle, she also worked on the press team at the Republican State Leadership Committee, assisting with state-level and down-ballot campaigns across the country. Valerie is a graduate of Florida State University.
