Charles Maffey is the Chief Financial Officer at BSG, where he leads the firm’s financial strategy and operations, overseeing enterprise financial planning, capital allocation, reporting, risk management, and corporate development to support the company’s growth and client impact. With more than 15 years in senior finance leadership, he brings deep expertise in financial transformation, M&A due diligence and integration, and operational improvement across complex, multinational environments.

Prior to joining BSG, Charles served as acting Chief Financial Officer at McChrystal Group, an international leadership consulting firm, where he oversaw accounting, treasury, audit, and internal controls; led a financial turnaround; and advised ownership and the board of directors on strategic planning.

Before McChrystal Group, Charles spent 14 years as Chief Financial Officer and Principal of Albero LLC in Washington, DC, advising private equity groups, law firms, banks, and operating companies on financial strategy, M&A, enterprise risk, and litigation support.

Earlier in his career, Charles was at Hovde Financial, supporting sell side M&A for community and regional banks, a registered Fixed Income Trader, Investment Adviser, and Compliance Officer at BNK Advisory Group, and a business consultant at Blue Line Management in Denver, advising companies on international market expansion.

Charles holds an MBA in International Business from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Colorado.
