Alex Koch is a Vice President in BSG’s Research Practice. Alex brings a diverse background in law, policy, advocacy, and research to BSG. Having advised Fortune 50s, financial institutions, and trade organizations, Alex’s expertise lies in bridging the gap at the intersection between business, politics, and policy to advance client objectives within the healthcare, legal, financial, technology, and international sectors. With over a decade of legal and litigation support expertise, Alex is adept at steering legal strategy and state-level legislative advocacy to achieve success in coalition building and policy reform.

Alex also brings a deep understanding of various aspects of the healthcare industry, guiding clients through some of the most complex regulatory challenges facing the sector today. He has advised organizations on issues within pharmaceuticals, insurance, and patient care. Drawing on years of experience in government affairs and regulatory strategy, Alex helps clients anticipate risks, respond to crises, and shape effective solutions in an evolving policy landscape.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex worked at a private DC-based consulting and investment firm. He holds a law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and is a graduate of Marquette University.
