BSG is seeking a Director to join our Media Intelligence practice in Hawaii or Alaska. The ideal candidate possesses insatiable curiosity, an analytical mindset, and a deep interest in US current events and politics
This role requires demonstrated experience writing, analyzing, and presenting information from a Republican and/or conservative policy or communications perspective. The Director will support clients operating within conservative political, public policy, and advocacy environments.
Media Intelligence Director are trained on the job by best-in-class mentors who teach monitoring best practices and how to produce clear, actionable analysis. This role will be fully remote after training Monday through Friday.
Location: Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, AK | Honolulu, HI
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Core Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM (AKST or HST)
Salary Range: $60,000–$80,000 annually (commensurate with experience and
qualifications)

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Continuously monitor all relevant forms of media — including print, broadcast,
social, and online news — for breaking developments. - Alert clients in real-time to new developments using BSG’s proprietary Dashboard
system. - Compile news items into curated collections for distribution to clients and
internal stakeholders. - Draft and assist in the preparation of analytical reports and written briefings
tailored to conservative audiences. - Support back-end data management and internal systems
Qualifications
The successful Director is eager to build analytical skills and is creative, detail-oriented,
self-motivated, highly organized, and resourceful.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience writing and presenting information from a Republican
and/or conservative political or policy perspective. - Strong interest in or experience monitoring and analyzing US news and current
affairs. - Experience with media monitoring tools (e.g., Tweet Deck, TV Eyes, Meltwater).
- Ability to manage varied time constraints while maintaining accuracy and
thoroughness. - Experience using research tools (Google News, public records, government
databases). - Professional or internship experience in a political, campaign, advocacy, or news-
oriented field preferred
